UN Media Access?

There is a range of practical issues on which the UN must do better, and on which it the UN has not been pressed,┬ásuch as the right of UN accredited media to cover meetings in UN’s rented “temporary” sites like 380 Madison Avenue and the Teachers Building on 3rd Avenue.

Who gets to ask questions? Why does the UN give UNCA, given its record, the first question at briefings, and the right to be the “pool” for the sometimes newsy meetings of Ban Ki-moon? Why are some photographers and not others allowed up to such meetings? On these and other questions, contact funca [at] funca.info
